Year 2 is an important year at Chase View Community Primary School, where children continue to develop their academic skills in preparation for Key Stage 2. We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, ensuring that children gain confidence in reading, writing, and mathematics, while also developing their skills in other subjects such as science, history, and geography.
Our approach to learning is both structured and flexible, encouraging children to engage with their work in a creative and hands-on way. We also focus on personal development, helping children grow in confidence, resilience, and their ability to work as part of a team.
In Year 2, children are given the opportunity to take part in a range of school activities, including school trips, performances, and special projects, making their learning both exciting and memorable.
