Geography

Geography at Chase View Community Primary School helps pupils explore the world’s landscapes, cultures, and environments, inspiring a sense of curiosity and responsibility for the planet. Our curriculum equips children with the knowledge and skills to navigate and understand the world.

Through engaging lessons, pupils investigate physical and human geography, from rivers and mountains to cities and trade. They develop skills in map reading, fieldwork, and data analysis, preparing them to think critically about global challenges.

We incorporate real-world learning by studying local and international case studies, helping pupils connect their studies to the environment and communities around them. Field trips further enhance their understanding, bringing geography to life.

Sustainability is a key focus of our curriculum. Pupils explore topics such as climate change, resource management, and global citizenship, fostering a sense of responsibility for protecting our planet.

Our geography programme inspires a love of learning about the world and empowers pupils to make informed, thoughtful decisions about its future.
